OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
After years working in the financial sector it was a dream come true, when Claire was offered a job at the Jane Goodall Institute UK in 2001. Little did she know she would still be working for Dr Goodall’s charity over 20 years later! All the JGI UK team are home based but Claire manages the charity’s small administration office based in Lymington, Hampshire.
Claire is usually the first point of contact with supporters and helps deliver our Chimp Guardian programme. Claire also deals with financial aspects of the charity and provides administrative support for our humanitarian and educational youth programme, Roots & Shoots. Claire’s love of animals is served well where she lives in the New Forest - she is lucky enough to see wild ponies, cows and donkeys, on her way to work.

DIRECTOR OF OUTREACH
Jasmina has been a part of the Institute’s educational youth programme, Roots & Shoots, since 2009.
She took on the role of Director of Outreach in 2024, focusing on enhancing the programme’s reach in schools throughout the UK, forging and strengthening partnerships, and collaborating closely with the team to develop innovative and exciting methods to create a positive impact through Roots & Shoots.
Growing up in Bulgaria, Jasmina was motivated to make a positive change after watching Dr Goodall in National Geographic documentaries and films.
She is deeply passionate about the significance of environmental education and strives to help young individuals recognise the vital role they play in the health of our planet through their actions. Like Dr Jane, she has a love for animals and firmly believes that by advocating for change and leading by example, we can indeed create a kinder and more sustainable world.
In her free time, Jasmina supports a rescue centre in Bulgaria; she advocates against the use of animals in experiments and entertainment, and enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their two cats.
Our Trustees
Our Trustees provide the vital legal, strategic, and moral compass behind JGI UK. They bring deep expertise across conservation, finance, corporate governance, youth development, and communications.
They work closely with Jane Goodall herself—sharing her vision, guiding our mission, and ensuring we operate with integrity, transparency, and commitment to delivering real impact.

TRUSTEE
Gemma brings to JGI UK a rich background in retail leadership, having held senior roles with global brands including Nike, Puma and Apple. In 2016 she transitioned into human resources, guiding employees and leaders across FMCG, technology and communications sectors, and today works within the music industry with Warner Music Group.
Her commitment to animal welfare and the environment started early — a lifelong passion for wildlife, ecological conservation, and the urgent need to tackle single-use plastic and its devastating impact on the natural world and animal survival.
Gemma joined JGI in 2025, inspired by the Institute’s mission to protect wildlife, safeguard habitats, and build sustainable communities grounded in compassion and respect for all living beings. She is driven by the belief that through education, advocacy and positive action, we can help create a future where people, animals and the planet thrive together.
With her cross-sector corporate experience, people-centred leadership, and deep personal commitment to environmental stewardship, Gemma is excited to support JGI UK’s work to empower young changemakers, promote conservation, and advance hope for a more sustainable world.
