Celebrating Dr. Jane Goodall’s life’s work while supporting the next generation.

On 23 March 2026, The Hope Gala brought together leaders from business, culture and philanthropy for a powerful evening in support of the Jane Goodall Institute UK and the Roots & Shoots movement.

Held at The Peninsula London, the inaugural gala marked a defining moment for the Institute, celebrating the life and legacy of Dr Jane Goodall while raising vital funds to continue her work.

Dr. Jane’s Legacy

In 1960, Jane Goodall stepped into the forests of Gombe, Tanzania and changed what the world believed about animals, nature, and ourselves.

Her pioneering work with wild chimpanzees transformed science and reshaped conservation by insisting that protecting wildlife and habitat must go hand-in-hand with supporting local communities.

From Gombe came a global legacy: the Jane Goodall Institute, and Roots & Shoots,  a youth movement now active in 100 countries.

“There are many reasons for Hope” was Jane’s message to the world. The Hope Gala is our tribute and our commitment to what comes next.
